Victoria Vikström is a strong and versatile dancer experienced in many genres of dance, from contemporary to commercial styles.
Born and professionally trained at Balettakademien in Sweden, she is now pursuing her career in the US and is, as of 2016, based in New York.
Victoria has performed in a vast variety of shows and events. She toured in Scandinavia with the contemporary company Dans i Nord, collaborated with the jazz band Cure-a-Phobia and together with Sanna Nilsson choreographed and danced in the contemporary performance Under the Boat.
Working with the Swedish choreographer Thomas Benstem, Victoria performed in the show Schlageryra in Folkets Park before the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö 2013, as well as in the Christmas show Julgalan at Malmö Arena 2016. She has also been working with several artists in concerts and on tour, such as Rebecca and Fiona, Lachi and Ashley Poole (DREAM).
In New York, Victoria had the opportunity of working with the renowned choreographers Derek Mitchell, Phil Orsano and Shirlene Quigley in various events. She danced in the full-length show FLIGHT by Peggy Choy and in Brinda Guha’s Urban JATRA. She also performed at the opening of US Open 2017, which aired on ABC, appeared as a featured dancer on MTV’s show TRL and as a model on Fox 5 Good Day New York.
Apart from working as a dancer, Victoria has been teaching a range of dance styles for 10 years, from beginners to pre-professionals, and she has found that sharing her love for dance through teaching is as much of a passion as being on stage.
